A stunning and incredibly rare sideboard (even by UK standards) constructed of rosewood and teak made by Mcintosh of Kirkcaldy is available for sale in Sydney.
 
The mid century vintage sideboard or credenza is dated to the 50s or 60s and is art deco nouveau style with beautiful curves and detailing to the edges, the front middle section is slightly bowed.
 
The doors appear to be tambour due to the gorgeous woodwork details yet they open and close instead of sliding. There's ample storage with lots of internal shelves plus two drawers, one which is lined with red velvet to be a cutlery drawer.
 
 
Condition:
The unit has been kept in wonderful condition by its one and only past owner. In certain light it appears that the right side door panel is a lighter wood tone than the left. On the front right corner there's a tiny veneer piece missing, please see photos.
