This is a rare piece produced during 1959 by its designer, Peter Hayward for Uniflex in the United Kingdom. This piece is quite rare even by UK standards so to find one in Sydney or anywhere in Australia is difficult. 
 
The mid century chest of drawers features lovely herringbone marquetry to the top drawer and walnut veneer to the other drawers and throughout with cute brass handles and brass caps on the feet. 
 
A classic chest of drawers with lots of storage space. The item is very good original condition. All drawers run well.
 
Condition:
The entire unit has been stripped and refinished. It was previously a very dark brown which has been removed to reveal the wonderful wood grain.
