This is the infamous 'floating desk' designed by Victor B. Wilkins for the G Plan Fresco range, circa 60's.
This particular model has the hidden drawer (not all of this model do!) which has a lovely original purple felt lined storage space. It makes this particular piece a little more special!
The chair which is Mcintosh and stamped 1972 on the underside comes with the purchase and the teak on the dining chair matches the teak on the dresser / desk so well and the blue wool fabric looks just gorgeous against the grain of wood.
It's a beautiful piece of mid century furniture with gorgous lines and you can see why so many use these as desks as a chair will very easily fit inbetween each drawer compartment (a bonus of a home office desk as well!)
The desk height is also perfect being the same as a dining table.
Condition:
The desk was a dressing table & mirror (it's quite common to convert them to desks) and it's in great condition.
The unit hasn't been fully restored, just refreshed - there are some ever so minor surface inconsistencies, please see photos.
The chair is in great condition and is stable and has been water / steam cleaned. The original fabric is in excellent condition.

As this is also availble for sale in London, it could be removed from the website if sold prior to the container sailing (yet I will do my best to re-source and replenish the website, although it might not be exactly the same item).
